Organised by the Association of St. Kitts & Nevis Descendants (ASKaND), the event welcomed families and friends travelling from Birmingham, Leeds, Suffolk, London, Manchester, Nottingham and beyond, in what has become the largest annual gathering of the UK diaspora of St. Kitts and Nevis.

Guests were treated to a line-up of artistes who flew in directly from the islands, including Itebulous, former lead singer of the Ultrasonics from Nevis, rising St. Kitts singer Dejour (pictured), and reggae artiste Virgil Hodge.

The day was hosted by the ever-popular Sweet Sister Sensia, with DJs KMD, Bajan Touch, Jus-Us and Godfather keeping the dance floor busy into the evening.

Edlynn Zakers, Chief Strategic Officer for the Association of St Kitts & Nevis Descendants, said: “Seeing the field full again, with grandparents dancing alongside grandchildren, is exactly why we started Heritage Day.

“In five years, it has grown from a community get-together into a day that people travel across the country for. What matters most is that our young people leave knowing where their family comes from, and that there is somewhere else in the world where they belong.”

The St. Kitts Tourism Authority was represented at this year’s event by UK Sales & Marketing Consultant, Chelcie Lewis, who spent the day meeting members of the diaspora, sharing the latest news from the destination and signing visitors up to its diaspora programme.

Chelcie Lewis said: “Heritage Day gave us a wonderful opportunity to engage directly with our diaspora community. It is where conversations about home happen naturally, whether that is discovering what is new in St. Kitts, planning a return visit, or introducing the next generation to the island for the very first time.

“We were delighted by the interest in our ‘We Limin’ Diaspora Programme, which was created specifically to strengthen the connection between our nationals abroad and St. Kitts and Nevis through meaningful travel opportunities and exclusive benefits.”

Launched in the UK in March 2026, the We Limin Diaspora Programme provides nationals of St. Kitts and Nevis living overseas with exclusive travel benefits, including discounted accommodation at participating hotels, special rates on attractions and experiences, and regular updates on festivals, events and destination news.

Registration can be completed here, where eligible nationals can sign up by providing proof of citizenship. Those wishing to play a more active role can also become Diaspora Champions, volunteering alongside the St. Kitts Tourism Authority in the UK to support destination promotion while enjoying unique cultural experiences.
