Amongst the must-see acts helping the much-loved boutique festival celebrate its 20th anniversary are Ireland’s band of the moment, the incredible Kingfishr (Friday), whose emotional tour performances have been garnering five-star reviews.

Joining them on the opening day are Dublin six-piece Madra Salach, Dermot Henry (who’s opened for Kingfishr on tour), Irish singer-songwriter Dave Lofts, Donaghmede-born Damien Dempsey, and comedian David O’Doherty, as well as electric duo Big Special, folk star Katherine Priddy, LA Phoebe Bridgers and Haim collaborator Morgan Nagler and Family Stereo (aka Blake Watt, son of Everything But The Girl’s Ben and Tracey).

Saturday welcomes reformed Welsh ’90s mavericks Super Furry Animals, musician/ actor Johnny Flynn and his sister Lillie Flynn (whose collaborative album, Beam Cottage, is out in November), cosmic folk psych explorer Jane Weaver (fresh from the BBC Prog Proms), Folk Bitch Trio and The Wran.

Meanwhile, Sunday sees North American folk/ bluegrass quartet The Dead South, punk/ folk songwriter Frank Turner and Stourbridge’s The Wonder Stuff (as part of their 40th anniversary celebrations), plus Jacqui McShee’s Pentangle – one of several acts on the bill who also appeared at the very first Moseley Folk Festival in 2006.

Other guests heading to Brum’s Moseley Park over the long weekend include Blur’s Dave Rowntree, comedians Mark Watson and Lindsey Santoro, The Destroyers, Hudson Freeman, Joshua Burnside, Barbara Nice, and Fran Lusty – recipient of the Hello You! The Janice Long Emerging Artist Award 2026.

Away from the main stages, there’s also a range of activities to keep younger visitors occupied including storytelling, workshops, Dead Pixels’ retro games, the colourful Circus Raj, maypole dancing and more. There’s also a Wellness tent, offering opportunities to unwind and relax.

After the final ticket release, all tickets are now strictly limited, with significant discounts available on children’s tickets purchased before September 1st, thanks to the Government’s Great British Savings scheme.
