Birmingham college recognised for specialist education provision

Queen Alexandra College shortlisted for prestigious award.

The most outstanding individuals and institutions that the Further Education sector has to offer have been recognised in the shortlist for the 2019 Times Educational Supplement FE Awards.

It’s been revealed that Queen Alexandra College in Birmingham has been shortlisted for the Specialist Provider of the Year award.

QAC is a national specialist college for people with disabilities, based in Harborne, Birmingham. They offer a range of courses and programmes to help students learn new skills and develop a sense of independence.

TES FE editor Stephen Exley said: “Excellent practice exists right across the further education sector, and those shortlisted for the Tes FE Awards are the cream of the crop.

“Our judges were extremely impressed with the calibre of entries. We had more entries for this year’s categories than ever before, and the standard was higher than ever. To be shortlisted is an extraordinary achievement.”

The winners will be revealed at a gala awards evening at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London on Friday 22 nd March 2019.
