Birmingham Rep postpones A Passionate Woman

Birmingham Repertory Theatre today announce the postponement of the forthcoming production – A Passionate Woman – due to the indisposition of Lynda Bellingham.

Lynda Bellingham has been diagnosed with cancer, and has been advised that due to medical treatment it would not be possible to commit to the production at this time. However, she will return to the production next year.

Lynda Bellingham said today: “I’m devastated not to be able to honour my commitments to the play this year, but having toured many times before, I’m aware of the sheer stamina needed, and I need to prioritise my recovery. That said, nothing’s going to stop me coming back next year, and I can’t wait to be ‘a passionate woman’.”

A Passionate Woman was due to run in the newly refurbished Birmingham Repertory Theatre as part of a UK tour from 21 – 26 October. Customers who have bought tickets for the show at The REP will be contacted within the next few days about arrangements for refunds or exchanges.
