A weekend of themed blockbusters, cocktails and nostalgia.
Based in the heart of the Custard Factory in Digbeth, the Mockingbird Cinema will host the jam-packed event spanning from Friday 30th September to Sunday 2nd October, and will showcase a diverse range of 80s cinema classics including Dirty Dancing, Back to the Future, The Shining and more.
In a unique cinema experience celebrating all things 80s, guests can enjoy a range of themed treats across the weekend including an 80s breakfast of topped cereal, pop tarts and hot drinks to take into the screening of the Breakfast Club; a bottle of prosecco for Saturday night’s Dirty Dancing screening; along with themed cocktails, and 80s music all weekend.

After undergoing a refurbishment in the early months of 2022, Digbeth’s much-loved Mockingbird Cinema has since been back in action celebrating all things brilliant about cinema with diverse screenings of exciting blockbusters, cult classics, and everything in between; along with hosting themed events which range from dog-friendly screenings of 101 Dalmatians, to Stranger Things and Harry Potter quizzes.
Further upcoming events for 2022 include a range of Buffy the Vampire Slayer themed evenings in November and December, Return to the Hellmouth: The Big Buffy Meetup; set to showcase favourite Buffy episodes along with karaoke, tarot card reading, themed cocktails, quizzes and prizes.
