DanceXchange online dance classes begin

Birmingham dance company launches new, free online dance classes for children and families.

DanceXchange is offering a new programme of free online dance classes for young people and their families starting Thursday 23rd April and running for four weeks. Fun, energetic and for all abilities, the children’s classes launch with Bhangra and over the four weeks include Contemporary, Breakin and Musical Theatre dance styles.

These new classes will be 30 minutes long, streamed live from 4pm each Thursday on DanceXchange’s Facebook and are aimed at children up to 11 years, along with their whole family. Details can be found here.

DanceXchange has also announced that the hugely popular DXtra Daily online adult classes, led by DanceXchange’s regular class tutors, have been extended through until 8th May. With some classes reaching almost 750 attendees, DXtra Daily online is proving the perfect way for people to feel connected through the UK quarantine as well as supporting people’s well-being and fitness. These classes will continue to be streamed via Instagram Live.

Alex Henwood, Head of Learning and Participation at DanceXchange said: “We are really excited to be adding four new children’s classes to our DXtra Daily online class timetable, a great opportunity for families to come together and have fun! Our online programme now offers six free classes a week for all ages and abilities. We believe dance is one of the best ways to keep active, have fun and be part of an amazing community – come join us!”

Adult classes will run on Instagram Live and be available for 24 hours after the class for participants to enjoy in their own time.
