Happenings at Artrix

There’s plenty of family fun coming up.

What would you do if you were a young lady who found herself shipwrecked on an island?

Obviously, dress up as a boy and serve one of the most dashing Dukes in the land! Now, what if that servant falls in love with the Duke, but he is besotted with someone else- and that ‘someone else’ is besotted with the cross-dressing servant because she doesn’t know who they really are?! Meanwhile the servant’s twin has found himself on the same island utterly confusing everyone, and a couple of drunk lords make things much, much worse…

The seemingly confusing plot of Twelfth Night, which is being performed at Artrix on Saturday 9th August, remains one of Shakespeare’s most popular plays. This fun, fast-paced and entertaining production is being staged by local touring theatre company Madcap Theatre and combines music, dance, stage combat and physical theatre. This is an evening of Shakespeare not to be missed.

Madcap Theatre present Twelfth Night on Saturday 9th August at 7.30 pm.
