Volunteers from RBS swapped their office for the outdoors on Thursday, June 13, to spend the day sprucing up the gardens at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice.
In addition to gardening, the seven volunteers from the Brindleyplace office also spent time cleaning patient vehicles, which are used to transport patients to and from the Day Hospice.
As a registered charity, Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice relies on the support of volunteers to help provide care to those with terminal illnesses.
Sarah Barber, Fundraising Project Officer, said: “It is great to see local businesses giving us their valuable time to support our Hospice.
“We are proud of our beautiful gardens, and it is much enjoyed by patients, however it does require regular upkeep, and so we greatly value volunteers who support this.”
Sarah added: “We are keen to work with local businesses in terms of both fundraising and volunteering to ensure we can continue providing quality care to those with terminal illnesses and their families.”
