The Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice Rubery Fundraising Group will be holding a pub quiz from 8pm on Thursday 21st March at the Rubery and Rednal British Legion to raise money for Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice in Selly Park.
Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice Rubery Fundraising Group excited about their first event.
The newly formed Fundraising Group has been hitting the streets of Rubery to promote the event. This will be the first official event for the group.
Vicky Hadley, Fundraising Group Co-ordinator, said: “We are all very excited to be a part of the fundraising group and are very much looking forward to the quiz. We are sure our own Quizmaster Chris will be a great hit!”
The support the group have received from the community so far has been astonishing.
Jen Boilestad, Community Fundraiser from St Mary’s, said: “Fundraising is vital to ensuring that the Hospice can continue to provide care and support to over 1000 people with life-limiting illnesses ever year.
The commitment and enthusiasm these volunteers have shown is fantastic and I’m sure their first event will be a great success. ”
Entrance is £2 per person, payable on the door on the day, with a maximum of 6 people per team. All money raised will go to support the invaluable work of the Hospice.
