Levellers have released the next instalment of their project to record a video for every track from their recently released album, Static On The Airwaves.

Filmed at the 10th Anniversary of Levellers’ own Beautiful Days Festival in August this year, Raft Of The Medusa is a jagged, foot-stomping barnstormer in the sea-shanty tradition.

It re-tells the true story of the aftermath of the running aground of French Naval frigate, the Méduse, as immortalised by the Théodore Géricault’s great romanticist painting of the same name. At least 147 people were set adrift on a hurriedly constructed raft; all but 15 died in the 13 days before their rescue, and those who survived endured starvation, dehydration, cannibalism and madness.

Levellers embark on a major UK tour in November 2012.
