A terrace of all seasons at MPW Birmingham.

One of Birmingham’s most popular roof terraces is set to become a destination whatever the weather, as work begins on Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar and Grill Birmingham conservatory.

Closed for refurbishment from Monday 16th May, the outdoor terrace on Level 25 will reopen in June with a retractable conservatory that visitors can enjoy all year round.

The new-look terrace will come complete with outdoor heaters and blankets to create a cosy space during the winter months, whilst the retractable cover ensures it will remain one of the city’s most popular sun spots throughout the summer.

Constructed using transparent panels, the design ensures Birmingham’s tallest outdoor terrace will still offer the spectacular views across Birmingham that have become an iconic feature of the restaurant.

Designed by Istanbul based company Loca Motorlu Pergola systems and CER Retractable Roofs and installed by Shrewsbury based Shading By Design, parts of the terrace will remain open throughout the construction for smokers.

Jon Peek, general manager at Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar and Grill Birmingham, said: “The terrace provides one of Birmingham’s most popular sunshine spots, so it’s great to have the opportunity to be able to reimagine the space to make it an exciting asset all year round.

“It was important to us to not compromise the fantastic views across the city that the terrace offers, and now we’re really excited to offer such an exciting space come rain or shine.

“It also gives us another unique space for private events and functions that isn’t reliant on the weather, and is the perfect addition to the restaurant and bar areas here on Level 25.”

Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse Bar and Grill Birmingham remains open during the refurbishment, and with a brand new food menu to enjoy alongside an extensive range of premium spirits, cocktails, champagnes and more, bookings can be made at www.mpwrestaurants.co.uk/restaurants/steakhouse-birmingham/.
