Local first aid training course launched

Session aims to provide knowledge for potential first-aiders.

Where there are people, life-threatening emergencies can often occur without warning. These can affect the very young, the elderly – and even apparently fit and healthy young adults. Would you know what to do in such a situation?

Erdington Court Bowls Club are hosting a special training session by Sutton-based specialists AD First Aid Training on Wednesday 4th February.

Head of Training at the Company is Ann Davies of Walmley. She said, “The session is to enable those attending to provide immediate on the spot help in dealing with sudden emergencies in the home or in leisure situations, such as bleeding, infant choking, unconsciousness, falls, heart attacks, asthma, diabetes or hypothermia. Longer sessions are also available for those wishing to become fully qualified first aiders. We are limiting places to twelve and it is a very practical, hands-on session.”

Ann has provided first aid training for over 25 years including for the British Red Cross.

The cost of the 2 1/2 hour training session is £20 and bookings have to be made in advance. For further details, contact Ann Davies on 07912 062811.

The Company also provides on-site training for companies, health and social care providers, restaurants and sports clubs. For more information, you can also visit their web site at www.adfirstaidtraining.co.uk.
