It’s THAT time of the year again and The Birmingham Press wishes all its readers a jolly time over the holiday (Winterval?).
We also take this opportunity to thank very much those contributors who have added so much to this website. From football to food, to politics to world views; we’ve had an eclectic mix over the last twelve months.
We don’t have the resources to be a news gathering operation but we hope we have added to the general media milieu of the West Midlands in an interesting, sometimes humorous, and rewarding way.
As sure as eggs is eggs, 2013 will soon be upon us – despite that Mayan Calendar end-of-the-world stuff – and we look forward to continuing our oft quirky publication.
Happy Christmas and a prosperous 2013.
Winterval ? In Ottawa, Canada they have a “WINTERLUDE FESTIVAL” which continues throughout the holiday season and almost into February. It’s a great way of keeping the cash flowing for shopkeepers and gently eases everyone into the new year ! On that note, cheers and congratulations to Andy and the team. I am looking forward to even more “quirky” reporting in 2013 !
Thanks Alan.
The Winterval reference was to a long running politically correct joke about not offending the sensibilities of those for whom Christmas is not a big deal.
Good luck to City TV in 2013 and get well soon!
Cheers (hic!)
