The group – a large multidiscipline engineering company with a blue chip client base – launched its new headquarters in Kings Norton yesterday (6th September). The headquarters were officially opened by Sir Matthew Pinsent, the four time Olympic gold medallist rower.

Systems adi Group operates nationally from its Birmingham headquarters with offices in Liverpool, Yorkshire, Cork and Dublin and currently employs over 350 staff across the UK. It operates across a number of sectors, including automotive, aerospace, petrochemicals, food manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.

Group CEO Alan Lusty said: “We have had year on year growth since the group was formed over twenty years ago. We have a strong and expanding client base and this solid platform has enabled us to attract a number of talented employees which continues to put us in a strong position when bidding for new contracts.

“The strength of the areas talent pool, the local support and its central location – which makes doing business nationally and internationally that much easier – fuelled our decision to expand our presence in Birmingham. The city is on the up and we can see the long term potential of basing ourselves here.

“The new purpose-built facility in Kings Norton will not only provide an increase in our production capabilities but also provide our clients with improved manufacturing, engineering and production service levels”.

Inward investment programme Business Birmingham, which supports new and expanding businesses across Birmingham, the Black Country and Solihull, worked with Systems adi Group on its expansion.

Wouter Schuitemaker, Investment Director at Business Birmingham, commented: “Systems adi Group is an example of a company that has benefitted from Birmingham’s ability to help businesses grow, despite a challenging economic backdrop. The city’s heritage and reputation in manufacturing and engineering is founded on its ability to develop and attract the best talent, create a supportive environment for business growth, anticipate the future needs of businesses and build the infrastructure and support they need.”
