Solihull hair studio continue to support salon day for children.
For the seventh year running, Aesthetics hair in Solihull have supported the Chernobyl Children’s Project (UK) by hosting a pampering day in the salon for the children involved in the charity.
The Chernobyl Children’s Project charity does a number of different things to support the children still affected by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, including an annual trip to the UK to help boost immune systems. Each summer Chernobyl Children’s Project (UK) brings around 100 children to Britain for a recuperative 
holiday, all of these children are in remission from leukaemia or cancer. The children are selected by an organisation in Minsk called Children in Trouble, which is run by parents of children with cancer.
Offering the ultimate pampering experience, Aesthetics invite the children every year to their salon in Solihull for a full head to toe hair and beauty experience. The children get to choose from the salons vast menu of services and spend the day having their hair coloured, cut and styled however they wish.
Director Sarah Bowron says “We had such a lovely time welcoming the Chernobyl Children’s Project into the salon for an afternoon of pampering. It’s something myself and the team look forward to each year. The children were a joy to host as always and we hope they all had a wonderful meal afterwards!”
Aesthetics have worked with the charity since 2011 and aim to continue to grow their involvement and provide support to families in need. The relationship began when salon client Catherine McElholm, the treasurer and group coordinator in the UK of Chernobyl Children’s Charity, suggested the salon might want to get involved.
