Laura Payne talks about an upcoming vintage event.
Each year, RAF Cosford hold a 1940’s Dance in one of their hangers, and have done so for the last 25 years. Unfortunately, they are unable to host the event this year, and as a regular attendee and member of the Dance Social Committee, I feel this is a real shame. As such, I am organising this event on their behalf.
This 1940’s dance will be taking place on Saturday 29th October 2016 at the Tower Ballroom in Birmingham. This is a prestigious venue overlooking Edgbaston reservoir, offering one of the largest dance floors in the area.
The evening’s entertainment will be provided by Paul Drakeley and his All Star Band from 8pm-12am, with doors opening at 7pm. This is always an evening filled with wonderful music and beautiful dancing, and highly recommended for anybody interested in dance, vintage or the 1940’s era.
1940’s and wartime costume is required, to make the evening more authentic. You are able to bring your own food to the venue, but we please ask that you purchase drinks from the licensed bar.
Tickets for this dance need to be purchased ahead of the evening, and are £20 each. They can be purchased at the following site: www.ticketsource.co.uk/eventures (please note that a small booking charge will apply).
Please share this event amongst your friends, family and work colleagues, and join us for a wonderful evening of celebration of the 1940’s. For more information, visit our Facebook Page: https://www.facebook.com/events/1146557298700813/
