Commercial opportunities still available.
A mixed-use development project on Birmingham’s Bristol Street has now reached completion following 40 weeks work on the scheme.
Developed by The Gooch Estate, assisted by Birmingham Properties Group, the row of locally-listed buildings has been transformed into 11 commercial units and 108 student residences, each complete with en-suite bathroom and secure car parking.
Although the student accommodation is now fully let, there are nine commercial units still available, each boasting between 400 and 1200 sq ft of ground floor space with frontage to the main A38 arterial route. There is free on street parking and making this a perfect location for a retail unit, office space, restaurant or café.
The project has transformed the area of Birmingham’s flourishing Southside district which, with its close proximity to the city centre and universities, provides an ideal base for residents and business owners alike.
Charles Gillett, Partner at Pennycuick Collins which acts for the Gooch Estate, said: “The properties have already proven so popular with the residents that they were fully let before they even opened, and we’re sure that students at all of Birmingham’s great universities and colleges will continue to be attracted to the rooms.
“The Southside district is also becoming more highly regarded with business owners and we’re confident that the commercial properties will prove to be equally as popular. We are in discussion with a number of prospective tenants and look forward to seeing the space completely full in the near future.”
John Tebbutt, Managing Director of Birmingham Properties Group, added: “We’re pleased to have been a part of this exciting project which has taken derelict buildings and restored them to their former glory, while still providing high quality, modern accommodation. The scheme demonstrates our continued commitment to the city and its inhabitants; everyone involved in the project should be incredibly proud.”
