Andy Munro watches Blues beat Huddersfield Town.
Blues got back to winning ways against a previously in-form Huddersfield. It started – and finished – very promisingly with Siriki Dembele opening the scoring and sub Jordan James closing the show. However, the most pleasing aspect was Blues’ style of football, with the unusual statistic of them enjoying tge majority of possession.
Dembele was almost unplayable as he teased and tormented the opposition whilst the diminutive Koji Myoshi showed why many are comparing him to Blues legend Jose Dominguez.
The set-up worked well with Krystian Beilik and the back to form Ivan Sunjic patrolling in front of a resolute back four and an exciting and creative midfield three which included the elusive Juninho Bacuna.
Blues’ defence stood up well, with Kevin Long back to his best and Emmanuel Longelo proving he can be disciplined enough to play in a back four as a full back.
It was also very pleasing to see the promising Jordan James come on to play well and score an excellent goal. The Baggies test now awaits.
