Love forever changes

Legendary band returns to Castle & Falcon in 2027.

Love with Johnny Echols sees Arthur Lee’s longest serving band – complete with founding member and guitarist, Johnny Echols – continue to perform the classic songs from Love’s catalogue, including the albums Love, Da Capo, Four Sail and of course the timeless Forever Changes.

To mark the sixtieth anniversary of Forever Changes, a mainstay of every Greatest Albums list, the band will be touring the UK in 2027, including a date at Moseley’s Castle & Falcon on 21st May.

This isn’t just a nostalgia trip – their shows are drawing in an increasingly younger audience as teens and students are discovering the timeless music produced by these 60s legends performed by a band that is truly on top of its game.

Johnny Echols says, “I so look forward to performing LOVE’s extraordinary music to an appreciative audience. We perform much of Forever Changes, as well as favourites from our extensive catalogue… a few deep cuts as well as a few surprises!”

Joining Johnny Echols on stage is Baby Lemonade who from 1993 until Arthur’s death in 2006 performed as his band and became an essential part of the renaissance of LOVE’s music. This iteration of Love saw many sold-out tours, including a US tour with the Zombies, as well as back-to-back performances at the legendary Glastonbury festival (UK) and appearances all over Europe.

Since then, the Love band members with Johnny Echols performed regularly on the West Coast and have returned several times to the UK and have slowly built up an impressive following with many sold-out shows.

As MOJO wrote in an extensive feature published in July 2023, Arthur Lee was one of the most problematic characters in rock history, but both Johnny Echols and guitarist Mike Randle both speak of him in the present tense with an air of wonder and affection. “I don’t see Arthur as being gone,” commented guitarist Mike Randle, “he’s everywhere!”

Love with Johnny Echols will be performing at the Castle & Falcon, Moseley, on 21st May 2027.
