Blues fail to shoot down Robins

Andy Munro sees Blues lose at Bristol City in a familiar fashion.

Blues went to Ashton Gate and yet again had more shots, more possession and more corners (yawn yawn) but failed to score….

This is becoming a habit that could cost Chris Davies his job if he doesn’t devise a workable Plan B. Blues laboured without inspiration for most of the game although I would except Patrick Roberts from that comment and possibly Christoph Klarer, who again played a real captain’s role in restricting the opposition’s chances.

Further up top, Keshi Anderson worked hard but somehow Blues seemed to have lost their footballing mojo. Even Jay Stansfield had a fairly quiet game whilst Paik Seung-ho behind him looked like a lost Seoul (sorry).

It’s all a bit of a mystery. Is it the wrong blend, the wrong tactics or lack of motivation from the players? Of course, the other explanation is that the players themselves are not good enough, One thing is certain, and that’s we are not (yet) in EFL Championship Emergency Ward 10 but our owners aren’t going to wait indefinitely, given their faux pas with a certain Wayne Rooney.

Already there is talk of Gary O’Neil but that doesn’t really set the heart racing and personally unless we drop into the bottom six I would stick with our current incumbent at least until Christmas.
