Disco legend brings Chic to Forest Live.
Forest Live, the summer concert series presented by Forestry England, have revealed disco icons Nile Rodgers & Chic as the latest headliners to appear at Forestry England Cannock Chase this summer.
Following four triumphant shows at the concert series in 2024, Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame and multiple-time GRAMMY Award-winning Nile Rodgers will bring the ultimate dance party to Cannock Chase on Wednesday 25th June. Tickets will be available from 9am on Friday 31st January.
Nile Rodgers is a Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame inductee and multiple GRAMMY Award-winning songwriter, composer, producer, arranger and guitarist and, along with his band Chic, they will take to the stunning woodland stage this summer.
As the co-founder of CHIC, Rodgers pioneered a musical language that generated chart-topping hits like Le Freak, the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records, and sparked the advent of hip-hop with classic Good Times.
His work with the Chic Organization including We Are Family with Sister Sledge, I’m Coming Out with Diana Ross and his production work for artists like David Bowie, Madonna and Duran Duran has seen Rodgers sell over 750 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide.
Meanwhile, his innovative, trendsetting collaborations with Daft Punk, Daddy Yankee and Beyoncé reflect the vanguard of contemporary hits.
Forestry England manage and care for the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests. They use the money Forest Live raises to maintain these beautiful natural areas for everyone to enjoy, run important conservation projects and keep growing trees. This summer, Cannock Chase will also host Snow Patrol, Sting and James, with support including Razorlight and Jamie Webster.
