Canaries fly too high for Blues

Blues go down at Norwich as Andy Munro wonders about the future.

Yet again Blues didn’t deserve – and didn’t get – anything from an away game, this time at Norwich. The first half shot ratio was verging on the embarrassing in favour of the home side and whilst we had five or six players unavailable so did the Canaries.

A couple of players were poor but deserve a chance on Tuesday to put things right as they have been more than decent so far. Those were the normally reliable Kevin Long at the back and a reborn Ivan Sunjic, who unfortunately had a bit of a mare this time out in terms of giving the ball away.

However two players who don’t deserve a second chance are the wasteful, ineffective and highly-paid Scott Hogan, as well as Ollie Burke, who is proving himself the donkey that we feared.

spots were few and far between but were provided by Dion Sanderson at the back, Krystian Beilik in midfield, plus Kyoshi Myoshi and Jay Stansfield further up the pitch.

The fat lady has yet to sing but if we don’t get three points from one of the next two matches then John Eustace may well be singing bye bye American Pie!
