Sutton Coldfield site will provide jobs and training opportunities.
A site visit to the Peddimore industrial development gave NB:ER (North Birmingham Economic Recovery) partners and board members the chance to explore the scale of opportunity North Birmingham’s newest employment park will offer jobseekers and investors.
IM properties, in partnership with Birmingham City Council, has been co-ordinating development of the Peddimore site in Minworth since 2020.
During the visit, representatives from HS2, the West Midlands Combined Authority, Witton Lodge Community Association, The Aston Villa Foundation, Greater Birmingham and Solihull Local Enterprise Partnership, DWP, South & City College and the city council joined Erdington MP Paulette Hamilton to review the progress that has been made.
They also took the opportunity to discuss the jobs, skills and training opportunities that Peddimore will deliver when it opens late in 2023.
Paulette, who also chairs the NB:ER Group, said: “It is wonderful to continue these working relationships and collaborate to deliver local opportunities like this. Once completed the site will create thousands of job opportunities for people in Erdington and North Birmingham.”
The aim of the Peddimore project is to create a high-quality development which attracts leading national and international manufacturing and logistic businesses, delivers a best-in-class employment location and an economic asset that Birmingham and the Midlands can be proud of.
