Anyone who doesn’t want this glorious summer to end just yet and fancies a drive into the countryside can take advantage of a couple of events happening not too far away in September.
Berrybank Park is a brand new, summer venue situated just outside Stow on the Wold and Oddington in the heart of the Cotswolds. With panoramic views of the Great British Countryside in all its glory, Berrybank have launched their unique 500 seat outside Amphitheatre, 200 capacity Pavilion with restaurant, bar and stylish alfresco facilities.
The venue opened to the public for a fantastic season of entertainment, which has included theatre performances from The Globe, the Cotswolds Comedy Festival, cabaret, ‘Under the stars’ cinema, children’s shows, classical music, a Blues Night and two brand new events added to the program for September – Berrybank’s Roaring 20s Charleston Supper will take place on the evening of 17th September and The Berrybank Summer BBQ on the 18th.
On Saturday 17th September Berrybank will be going back in time to The Roaring 20s and hosting a Great Gatsby style 1920’s Charleston Supper. Entertainment comes from Birmingham singer Vanessa Lee, who will be performing songs from The Post-Modern Jukebox as guests enjoy a welcome reception of gin fizz cocktails.
Host for the evening, actor & musician Tony King (Poldark) will invite you to be seated, dinner party style for a three course 192’s inspired meal, to a background performance of jazz piano, trumpet & ice breaker table games
Dress Code will 1920’s/Great Gatsby.
Singles and solo diners are very welcome to join this group experience. The organisers say: “You may make your entrance alone, but you’ll be dining in groups at long tables and leaving with lots of new friends! Your table hosts are there to encourage conversation and jovial camaraderie amongst the guests, it’s an ideal way for singles to go out and enjoy a meal with like-minded people who are there with partners, friends or also flying solo ”
Tickets £60 Non-Members/£50 for members, inclusive of gin reception, entertainment and 3 course Supper.
Berrybank’s final event of the season will be The Berrybank Summer BBQ, held on Sunday 18th September.
Tickets £10 non-members/£7 U18’s/free for Members and accompanied members’ children. Food will e avalable thropughout the afternoon and there will be a licensed bar.
Entertainment will be provide by DJ Jason Regan, who runs one of London’s hottest club nights, Lost In Disco, as well as acoustic singer/songwrite rAndy Ruddy and family fun from comedian Scott Adams.
