Once again, Warwick Castle is transforming itself into the biggest Halloween attraction in the Midlands, with family-friendly frights at The Haunted Castle by day and spine-tingling night-time treats for older visitors with the Castle After Dark.

This half-term, Warwick Castle will be full to the top of its towers with ghosts, ghouls, wizards and witches providing visitors with scary fun, spooky activities and eek-citing new attractions for all ages.

From Saturday 23rd-Saturday 31st October, The Haunted Castle returns by day bringing with it brand-new spooktacular attractions, ever-popular returning shows and much-loved roaming Halloween characters for plenty of family-friendly fun.

Teenage visitors and older looking for Halloween thrills can also visit the Castle on selected nights between 23-31 October for ghoulishly good fun, spine-tingling tricks and terrifying new treats at The Castle After Dark.

The Haunted Castle – 23rd-31st October (10am-5pm)

From marvelling at the Witches of Warwick as they concoct powerful potions to greeting spooky characters in the brand-new Upscares Downscares show, trailing through the Haunted Hollows and unravelling eerie experiences in the Horrible HistoriesⓇ Maze – Warwick Castle will once again be bringing family-friendly fun to Halloween with the Haunted Castle.
During this daytime event, budding young sorcerers can learn how to cast spells and discover secret potions as they join the new Witches and Wizards Schools, and learn to defend the Castle from any invading trolls at Troll Hunter School. The new Upscares Downscares show will reveal spooky aristocratic characters and their haunted help who may well have roamed the Castle’s state rooms in a previous life.

As well as new attractions, The Haunted Castle will once again see the eerie Haunted Hollows trail, much-loved Dead Centre Stage and the Witches Tower return, along with roaming Halloween characters telling spooky tales of the Castle.

The family fun doesn’t stop there though: discover the gruesome truth of history in the Horrible Histories® Maze (including the new for 2021 Vile Victorians), marvel at the Falconer’s Quest birds of prey show, boggle at the awe-inspiring medieval weaponry in the Great Hall and climb the towers and ramparts.

Plus, for the bravest young visitors, the creepy Castle Dungeon brings to life some of the Castle’s most frightening history.*

The Haunted Castle costs from £24 per person for daytime entrance (10am to 5pm from 23rd-31st October) when booked online in advance.

Feeling brave? The brand-new Massacre-ade Ball brings an evening show so ghoulish that only the most fearless will be able to resist jumping out of their seats and nerves will be put to the test in Hunted, a scare maze filled with ghoulish characters poised to shock even the bravest visitors.

For those still holding on to their courage, the scares continue at the Haunted Hollows, where devilish characters reside, while the Castle Dungeon* will have visitors working to escape the haunted underbelly of the Castle before it’s too late.

Of course, no festival would be complete without captivating entertainment and visitors to The Castle After Dark are in for a treat as daring fire breathers, creepy roaming characters and live music all take centre stage and eerie lights illuminate the Castle’s imposing walls.
