Festive season all wrapped up at prestige venue.
Birmingham’s premier lifestyle and shopping destination, the Mailbox, has announced a calendar of yuletide events to get guests into the festive spirit this Christmas.
Christmas by Mailbox will be hosted on Level 1, where guests can browse a wide range of handcrafted jewellery, wreaths and decorations, as well as festive food and drink.
Guests can expect a free cup of mulled wine on arrival as they browse collections from nine independent jewellers who learnt their craft in the region’s famous Jewellery Quarter. The event is in collaboration with Birmingham School of Jewellery and will be in place on Saturday 30th November and Saturday 7th December.
Floral expert, Richard Randall, will kick off the festive season at the Mailbox from Thursday 28th November. His range of show-stopping decorations, wreaths, floral displays and trees will be available to browse on Level 1 every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday until 22nd December.
Live music will also be performed on selected weekends in November and December so guests can enjoy their favourite festive songs and carols while they shop.
For fashionistas looking for a new Christmas party outfit, the Mailbox’s wide range of premium brands, including Harvey Nichols, Paul Smith, James Lakeland and many more, will also be stocked with the latest trends.
Special Christmas menus will also be available to try at the centre’s restaurants and eateries including a festive afternoon tea at Chez Mal at Malmaison and Aluna’s Christmas bottomless brunch.
Indian street food restaurant Indico recently opened its doors at the Mailbox and will spend its first Christmas in the city centre. The restaurant will be serving a range of chaats, comforting curries and tandoor classics for those looking to refuel after a busy day of shopping.
David Pardoe, head of marketing, retail and tenant engagement at the Mailbox, said: “We’re bringing a mix of local, independent sellers to our centre this Christmas to give our guests even more choice for festive gifts and interior decorations. Only at Mailbox can you browse handcrafted jewellery straight from Birmingham’s iconic Jewellery Quarter, right here in the city centre.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors, both old and new, to our brand new yuletide event: Christmas by Mailbox. We’ve got everything you could need this festive season whether it’s gifts for loved ones, a new Christmas party outfit or a chance to indulge in seasonal food and drink.”
