Cadbury World unveils terrifyingly tasty creation

Spooky treat on display for Halloween.

The chocolatiers at Cadbury World have revealed a fang-tastic spooky scene to celebrate Halloween.

Produced by Dawn Jenks and Donna Oluban over two days, the frighteningly good chocolatey masterpiece weighs around 15kg – the equivalent of 333 standard bars of Cadbury Dairy Milk.

To build the Halloween scene, the chocolatiers worked with solid milk chocolate to produce the ghostly door that forms the backdrop with a wooden panelled effect. It also features a chocolate key, 3D door knob and hinges which were all fixed to the creation using melted milk chocolate.

Adding to the creation, Dawn and Donna used a piping bag to form the shape of the witch’s hat and solid chocolate was layered to make the covers of the spell book, with melted milk chocolate used to create the illusion of pages. On one of the pages a magical chocolatey spell has been also hand-piped by the chocolatiers.

A stunningly spooky chocolate cat sits centre stage atop a decorated pumpkin and features glowing green eyes, with hand-crafted rust coloured chocolate leaves adding an autumnal effect. The flourish comes from an intricate witch’s broom stick and the chocolatiers then added a layer of gold lustre to complete the look.

The creation is on display in Cadbury World’s Chocolate Making zone as part of the Halloween celebrations until Sunday 3rd November, where families are invited to experience plenty of frightful fun with spooky activities and entertainment at the Bournville-based attraction.

Visitors can enjoy live entertainment in Cadbury World’s marquee at Freddo’s Halloween Spooktacular, where fearsome Freddo will even create his own little monster, with the help of some string and a splash of slippery slime. Expect a scream and a sing along family fun show packed with fun, frights and plenty of delights!

Guests can also sink their teeth into the amazing world of Cadbury throughout the attraction’s chocolatey zones. Visitors can watch the chocolatiers making special chocolatey treats in the popular Chocolate Making zone, before practicing their piping skills in the Have A Go zone, and experience the feeling of riding the Crunchie rollercoaster in the 4D Chocolate Adventure.

There will also be a range of spookily good treats in The World’s Biggest Cadbury Shop including exclusive hand-crafted chocolate pumpkins, as well a selection of Halloween-themed cakes in the Cadbury Café.
