Charity seeks professional advisers

Citizens Advice Birmingham seek new trustees to help deliver strategic vision.

A local charity which celebrates its 80th anniversary this September is calling out to business professionals with strong strategic, financial, ICT and property experience to join their board.

Citizens Advice Birmingham provides advice and information on a wide range of matters, including benefits and debt advice, coping with the additional costs of a cancer diagnosis, or how to deal with other life emergencies.

Current CAB trustees bring a range of business skills and experience to the board and comprise of a diverse group of senior professionals from the West Midlands. In a drive to accelerate the reach of the charity, candidates from the local community are sought who have a passion for helping the CAB fulfil its central objective, to ensure every individual who requires support is helped with free and independent advice and guidance.

A recent addition to the board, is local businessman Sunny Gill, CEO and Founder of Silver Mountain, a Birmingham based creative and digital agency. Commenting on his appointment to the CAB board he said:

“Being part of the Citizens Advice Birmingham board of trustees has really opened my eyes to the vital service that CAB provides to people who need advice and guidance to tackle the many challenges they face in their lives. I am very proud of being able to use my skills and experience to further CAB’s aims to assist all who need support with good quality, independent advice.

“On a personal level, I find my role as a trustee to be incredibly rewarding, working with my CAB trustee colleagues to help build the future direction of the charity.”
