Local Nisa retailers raise funds for Air Ambulance

Fundraising pledge to medical charity.

Midlands members of independent retailer group, Nisa, have pledged to fund ten lifesaving Midlands Air Ambulance missions during the charity’s Air25 25th anniversary year.

As part of the 25for25 fundraising campaign developed by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s corporate partner, Monaco Insurance, regional businesses are being encouraged to raise £25,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance, which will help fund ten air ambulance missions.

Knowing how vitally important the pre-hospital service is, local Nisa retailers voted to support the charity during its sterling anniversary year and the 25for25 initiative. Among a number of planned fundraising activities, Nisa will be supporting Monaco Insurance’s charity gala dinner in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which takes place at Edgbaston Stadium on 4th November.

Jas Sunner, on behalf of the Nisa retailers, states: “We have previously donated to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, and were very keen to support the charity again. It’s hard to believe the charity has tended to over 46,000 people in its 25 year history, and any one of us could rely on the service one day, which is why it’s so important to help keep the three helicopters in the air.

“The group of Nisa Retailers, which includes the deputy chairman of Nisa, Tony Sangha, along with Bharat Amin, Shindy Sunner, Jet Sunner and Jas Sunner have encouraged other Nisa Retailers to participate and requested that ‘Making A Difference Locally’ funds are allocated to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity this year.”

Kay Gill, director for Monaco Insurance, comments: “We are passionate about giving back to our local community which is why we developed the 25for25 campaign for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Nisa shares our passion and it’s extremely pleasing to know that together we will raise enough to fund over three days of air ambulance missions.”

Sofia Voutianitis, corporate partnerships manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, added: “The commitment shown by Nisa and Monaco Insurance is second to none, and we look forward to supporting their fundraising activities during our Air25 25th anniversary year.”
