There’s a line-up of veteran British musicians at the Robin 2 in Bilston this week.
On Wednesday the folk band Ezio will be appearing. With lyrics likened by one commentator to those of a more real-world Bob Dylan, the band have recorded eight studio albums, played live around the world and had one of their songs chosen for Desert Island Discs by Tony Blair.

There’s not much you can add to the many words that have been said about Thursday’s attraction. The Steve Gibbons band have had chart hits, opened for the Who, Lynyrd Syknyrd and ELO amongst others and forged a reputation as bona fide British rock’n’roll legends. Whatever fads and fashions may come and go, Steve and his band continue to deliver night after night.

Friday sees another veteran of the British rock and blues scene on stage. John Coghlan’s Quo does what it says – Status Quo’s original drummer performing their vintage music from the time when they were the band others copied but rarely equalled.

Of equal longevity but coming from a different angle is Sunday’s attraction. Barclay James Harvest were at ther vanguard of the British prog rock scene from its sixties roots. The version of the band led by founder member and guitarist John Lees play regularly all over the globe and in 2013 recorded the studio album North.
