Food and drink event set for Coffin Works.
Experience an exclusive evening filled with gourmet bites, specialty cocktails and carefully selected craft beers at the Jewellery Quarter’s newly restored Coffin Works, starting on Friday 10th July and then fortnightly, from 5pm until 10.30pm.
A flash mob of street food vendors and independent chefs will gather together to host Fleet Street’s Street Food Feast-IVAL at Coffin Works, collectively representing our multi-cultural city with a mouth-watering menu of tantalising dishes.
The last event saw the venue’s Gin & Rum Bar to great effect and this time they have even more surprises up their sleeves to entertain customers.
Located within walking distance from the city centre, Coffin Works opened its factory doors to the public after a 15-year rescue mission by Birmingham Conservation Trust. The Coffin Works, located on Fleet Street, is the Jewellery Quarter’s newest heritage attraction, where visitors in the day take a step back in time and experience the factory as it would have been in its heyday. The Birmingham Conservation Trust has been busy restoring original machinery – some of which is over a hundred years old – and installing original items to their proper place.
The Fleet Street Feast-IVAL’s team dreamed of an area people could walk down and appreciate the beauty of a heritage site while experiencing the culinary delights of a rotating selection of street food independents – the very people who make the West Midlands the best food city in the UK.
The event takes place at the Coffin Works, 3-15 Fleet Street, Jewellery Quarter, starting at 5pm. www.tasteandliquor.com
