Train advice for cup final

Heading to Wembley by train? London Midlands have given the following information.

London Midland is advising Wembley-bound Aston Villa fans to change trains at Harrow and Wealdstone this Saturday (30th May) when travelling to the FA Cup final. The train company has also said no alcohol will be allowed on board London Midland services to and from the game.

To help ease the journey to the match London Midland is adding in extra stops at Wembley Central on a number of its services departing from Birmingham. Fans are advised however that these trains will be busy, so the alternative option is to change trains at Harrow and Wealdstone station and catch London Overground rail services to Wembley Central.

London Midland’s head of West Coast services, Terry Oliver, said “To make everyone’s journey more pleasant, alcohol is will be banned on London Midland trains to and from Saturday’s game between Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Our advice to fans is plan ahead and allow plenty of time for your journey in case you need to wait for the next service.”

After the game, London Midland’s 19.40 and 19.56 services will call at Wembley Central for onward travel to Birmingham. These trains are expected to be busy.
