Easter fun and games at model museum

Trains, planes and much more to enjoy.

The attraction that has been described as the Jewellery Quarter’s newest and best-kept secret has announced its plans for the Easter holidays.

There will be plenty to see and do at the Wonderful World of Trains & Planes in St Paul’s Square, Birmingham, over the Easter break, and as it’s a school holiday they will be open every day of the week.

On Monday 30th March and Thursday 9th April there will be holding some children’s craft sessions, when Easter decorations and funky animals will be made.

Thursday 2nd April-Easter Sunday will see daily Easter Egg Hunts. All children will be given a series of clues that will lead them to the Easter Bunny and an Easter egg. And if you’ve made an Easter bonnet, don’t forget to bring it along.

On Tuesday 7th April there’s an Airfix ‘Make & Take’ day, when for a £3 additional fee, you will be able to make one of our starter Airfix kits and then take your finished kit home. If you’ve never made an Airfix kit before this is the perfect time to have a go, as staff will be around to give you some pointers. There is a £3 fee for each kit.

Places will be limited and only available through pre booking. Each kit has everything you will need, a model, glue and paints. Children will need an adult to help them. To reserve you place, book your entrance tickets online and then email or telephone 0121 227 4000 to confirm booking. The £3 will be payable on the day.

Plus, you’ll be able to wonder at the model railway layouts, take to the skies on the flight simulators, race around othe car circuit or the kid’s favourite, take control of one of our model trains in Little Train Driver’s World. There is also a café, which will have some seasonal treats on offer and a well-stocked model shop.
