After the success of the Now We Are Weekender in 2012, the Midland’s finest indie-pop festival is returning to The Public in West Bromwich for its second year.
Over the bank holiday weekend of Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2013, the region’s newest independent mini-festival will celebrate the thrills, spills and bellyaches of indie-pop ‘n rock, with some of the finest bands from across the West Midlands and the UK.
Last year’s musical mash-up enticed festival-goers from across the region with the likes Art Brut, Misty’s Big Adventure, The Lovely Eggs and The School drawing in the crowds.
A co-promotion between London-based Funny Looking Cat and The Public, Now We Are 2013 promises to be bigger and better than before with headline acts announced within the next few weeks.
Emma Cooper, Manager of Funny Looking Cat said: “For those who missed the excitement of Now We Are 2012, they don’t have to be disappointed for long because we’re back! In 2013 some of the best bands in the indie scene will be coming together at one of the most iconic venues in the Midlands, so we are certainly anticipating a weekend to remember.”
The Now We Are Weekender will take place at The Public on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 May 2013. Headline acts and early bird ticket deals will be announced in the next few weeks.
