A free seminar series for transport and logistics professionals will continue at Coventry University next month with a talk on how to use Twitter and other social media channels to boost business engagement.
Ruth Waring, managing director of Labyrinth Logistics Consulting, will present an interactive session to industry practitioners on the subject of online networking and how to use social media to your company’s advantage.
Attendees are being invited to bring a smartphone, laptop or tablet along to the seminar to put the advice into action as the session goes on.
The University will also be hosting a talk on the development of rail freight in Europe as part of the same seminar series.
Steve Pryce, head of business analysis and projects at DB Schenker Rail, is set to give an insight into the crucial role rail transit is playing in the haulage industry to create a more efficient intermodal transport network.

The seminar series began earlier this year with talks from industry leaders on intelligent transportation and the use of ‘traffic psychology’ to reduce young drivers’ risk of crashing.
The series is being delivered through the University’s Integrated Transport and Logistics (ITL) Grand Challenge Initiative – an applied research programme focused on helping to equip the UK with safer and more efficient integrated public transport and logistics services.
