On Thursday there’s an interesting gig starring the return of seventies glam band the Heavy Metal Kids.
Back in the days when they were fronted by Gary Holton, these were the sort of band who always looked on the verge of cracking the big time but their record sales never matched their legendary live shows. After reforming with John (Nasty Nick Cotton) Altman they’re still worth watching even though they now have a new (and not always the same one) singer. Tickets £10.
On Friday there’s tribute band the Bon Jovi Experience. Tickets £10.
There’s a seventies night on Saturday featuring top tribute band Bee Gees Fever, plus the Jackie Show, with Christopher Nott. Tickets £10.
Sunday night has a showcase of local talent presented by former Eurovision singer Josh Dubovie. Headlining the night are local trio Resonance, with support from Luke Hatton, Vinnie Johnson, Katie Collins and Becky Rose. Doors open at 5.00, the first act is on at 6.00 and tickets are £5.
