Whatever the weather this Summer, mac birmingham’s outdoor Arena stage will be scorching with the hottest talent in music. This season’s eclectic line up includes Irish Folk band Danú, Birmingham locals Goodnight Lenin and Scotland’s finest The Burns Unit (whose recent appearance on Later with Jools Holland has propelled them into the limelight).
Opening the season will be Danú, one of the leading names in Irish music today. It has been five years since Danú toured in the UK, so the gig will present a rare chance for Birmingham audiences to see this acclaimed band. Other highlights will include the Savoy Family Band, who will be spicing things up with their unique Cajun sounds. There will also be a chance to get your dancing shoes on and make some shapes on the dance floor at the Silent Disco. mac birmingham will be giving Silent Disco attenders the chance to request their favourite hairbrush anthems by posting them on mac’s facebook wall, or tweeting them (@mac_birmingham).
