Quality music and a special night are in store at Bilston’s finest this week.
On Wednesday 12th July folk band Ezio will be returning to the venue. Hailing from Cambridge, the band’s music draws on influences from around the world. over the past twenty years they’ve recorded a string of highly-regarded albums and captured a devoted following thanks to an accomplished live act that draws comparison with the best of Van Morrison and Bob Dylan.
Friday will be a memorable night in the Robin’s history as they celebrate their 25th anniversary with a performance by the band who kicked off the original venue in Brierley Hill back in 1992. The Soul Survivors are aptly named, having performed their infectious brand of party music for longer than anyone can remember, and their live show will be equally apt for such a celebration.
On Sunday another regular makes a welcome return. Hue & Cry were a blue-eyed soul band of the eighties who now show their jazz influences prominently through a series of original material, covers albums and a well-received live show that comes to the Robin complete with a full band backing the Kane brothers.
