LoveBrum looking beyond pandemic towards new challenges.
Birmingham-based charity LoveBrum is recruiting board members across a number of specialisms to support the organisation as it overcomes the challenges presented as a result of the pandemic and looks to the future to expand its reach across the city.
The charity recently restructured, creating Strategic and Operation Boards to ensure that the charity is fit for the future, and as a result several new voluntary board positions across a number of disciplines have been created.
The Operational Board is led by Rebecca Simkiss, Managing Director at SimkissGuy Recruitment who recently replaced Tim Andrews MBE as LoveBrum’s Chairperson, with James McHugh, Grants Manager at Stratford Town Trust, replacing Ms Simkiss as Vice-Chair.
The charity is now looking to strengthen its team with several new board members with experience and skills in a number of specialist disciplines including marketing, HR, finance, legal, fundraising, events, membership, and bid writing, along with individuals who can support the day to day operational activity of the charity. .
Rebecca Simkiss, Chairperson of LoveBrum said: “It’s such an exciting time for LoveBrum and the causes we support as we look to emerge from the struggles of the last 18 months. We have ambitious plans to grow the charity and support even more grassroots causes and projects that make a real difference across our city. We have several brand new board opportunities available, and with equality, diversity and inclusivity at the forefront of our strategic plans for growth, we really encourage all to apply so that as a board we are reflective of the fantastic city we represent.
“Even if you’ve never been part of a board before, we genuinely value people’s lived experience, so do think about how you can potentially contribute to creating a better Birmingham.”
With a closing date of Monday 2nd August, interested candidates should email their CV to [email protected]. More information on the voluntary board roles can be found on the LoveBrum website.
