New novice-only track day experiences launched.
A series of brand new novice-only track day experiences have been launched at a popular motoring venue in Staffordshire, meaning anyone owning a set of wheels can now push their driving skills and car to the limit on a real race track.
In fact, the only limit in place on the new TrackDays.co.uk organised experiences at Seighford Driving Centre is the engine noise level of 105dB, which is more than enough for most cars, making it ideal for first-timers who want to take to a race circuit in their own motor.
Dan Jones, operations manager at TrackDays, said: “Our new novice only track days are for beginners only. They’re a fantastic way of letting newcomers enjoy the track fun as they take to a circuit for the first time, with other drivers who will be similarly experienced.
“We must stress that these experiences are not designed to be a race, but are for car lovers to enjoy, and push their pride and joy in a fun but safe environment, while also hopefully learning some new driving skills to boot.”
Indeed, the experience allows car owners the opportunity to test their vehicles and discover what it is really capable of, something which is obviously not allowed out on the open road, as well as practising driving lines, braking procedures and corner approaching.
The venue for these new novice only track days is at a central location in the West Midlands, easily accessible from Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent and Birmingham. The circuit itself is roughly one mile long, is fun yet challenging and has two chicanes and two hair pins.
Bookings are now being taken for a variety of future dates as lockdown restrictions are gradually eased, starting from the end of April. The all-day experience costs £149, with the option to add another two drivers for an additional £50 per driver, and also track day tuition for an extra £50 per person.
It is also advised to get specialist car track day insurance as standard road car insurance is unlikely to cover the experience.
Dan added: “This is the perfect opportunity for seasoned track veterans to get friends, family members or loved ones involved, so they can also enjoy the thrills and buzz of a track day.”
