Virtual Link aims to raise funds and make connections.
Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice is helping local professionals make new connections ready for 2021 with the return of their virtual networking event, Virtual Link.
The charity is asking local professionals to donate what they would normally spend on their lunch, don their best festive knit and join them on Zoom at 12.30pm on Friday 11th December for this unique online event. Upon signing up, delegates have the opportunity to select the top three sectors they would like to connect with, and the charity will tailor the session to ensure break out rooms give attendees the opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals.
Helen Rawnsley, Partnerships Manager at Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice, said: “Following the success of our first Virtual Link event in September, we can’t wait to host a special Christmas edition!
“This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your professional network ready for the new year, with breakout rooms based on targeted groups for individuals you want to meet, all from the comfort of your own virtual office and whilst supporting a great local cause. Friday 11th December is also our charity Christmas Jumper Day so it’s a great excuse to dig out your best festive knit!”
“By donating what you would normally spend on a festive sandwich, delegates will be supporting our Hospice this Christmas. All of our services are free of charge to everyone who uses them – all year round. For instance, our Hospice at Home support means families who are coping with life-limiting illnesses can spend this special time of year focussing on what really matters- being together, opening gifts, sharing a Christmas dinner, pulling crackers and telling bad jokes.”
