Another couple of dates for your diary.
There’s a double treat for lovers of vintage British music at the Robin 2 In Bilston this week as two old favourites make their return.
Depending on which story you believe, the Rutles either started out as Merseyside schoolfriends in the fifties or as a spin-off from a seventies television series. Whichever version you prefer, their Beatles pastiches have stood the test of time and their regular tours in recent years have won a new generation of fans.
The legendary Neil Innes, of Bonzo Dog Doo Dah band and Monty Python fame together with longstanding collaborator John ‘The Admiral’ Halsey will bring their band to the Robin on Tuesday June 4th for another memorable evening.
Tickets £19.50
Then on Sunday 9th June there’s a landmark occasion as seminal folk rockers the Strawbs celebrate with another show on their fiftieth anniversary tour. The band evolved from their roots in the british folk scene of the sixties to find chart success on both sides of the Atlantic and now founder member Dave Cousins together with the longstanding Dave Lambert and Chas Kronk are returning to avenue where they are always guaranteed a good reception.
Tickets £14
