The Lewisham swings into action at Dartmouth golf course.
A brand-new bar and restaurant has launched at Dartmouth golf course in West Bromwich, offering the perfect place for date night, dinner with friends, after work drinks or family celebrations. Located just a stone’s throw from the town centre and boasting panoramic views over Sandwell Valley, The Lewisham is a true hidden gem.
Boasting flavoursome, gastro-style cuisine, The Lewisham celebrates the best of British cuisine with its seasonal dishes. The lunch and a la carte menus draw inspiration from the golf course surroundings; using only the freshest local ingredients. Added to that, the venue will also soon welcome golfers and guests from dawn until dusk, as it gets set to launch breakfast and afternoon teas!
“A stunning interior and beautiful views, teamed with our carefully crafted food and drinks menus, help us create a unique dining experience for our guests. Our appeal as a destination to do business, a place to relax, and a venue to celebrate has ensured our initial success; with businesses hosting meetings here, local workers enjoying evening drinks, Sunday lunches with the family and even private hire for special occasions. The success of our lunch and dinner service also means that we will be opening for breakfast and offering afternoon tea too,” says co-founder and manager, Nadine.
Open to everyone, the stylish 60-cover restaurant offers a selection of delicious light bites; from skillet-cooked prawns and honey roast figs, to chicken wings in maple and bourbon sauce. The a la carte menu celebrates British classics like fish and chips through to refined dishes such as Chateaubriand medallions or pan-fried hake.
As the warmer months arrive, The Lewisham will be the perfect hot spot for al fresco dining, with a stunning terrace that offers those all-important views over the valley. The ideal location to enjoy a refreshing cocktail or sample The Lewisham’s hand-selected range of spirits.
“It has been a stellar start to our journey as The Lewisham, and I am excited for us to welcome the summer in style. Dartmouth Golf Course has always been a true hidden gem, and we wanted to open a bar and restaurant that welcomed everyone; from our golf members to locals and visitors alike.
“Thank you to everyone who has joined us so far and I can’t wait to continue welcoming new drinkers and diners to The Lewisham,” Nadine continues.
Set within stunning tree-lined fairways with panoramic views of Sandwell Valley, The Lewisham marks the start of a number of exciting plans at Dartmouth Golf Course; which boasts the longest opening hole in European golf and the longest Par Five in the British Isles, the club is a must-visit destination for keen golfers.
