Craft beer and street food to hit Boldmere High Street.
Residents of Boldmere and Sutton Coldfield are invited to come and enjoy a brand new street food experience in Boldmere on Friday 30th June, called Tipples & Tastes @ Boldmere.
The event, which will run from 7.00pm to 10.30pm in the grounds of Sutton Car Wash, has been organised by local resident Mel Evans and her business partner Richard Brown, who co-own The Tipple Truck, a fire engine mobile bar.
The truck, which will be serving craft beer and sparkling wine, will be joined by street food traders offering a range of delicious sweet and savoury cuisines not currently found on Boldmere High Street. Children’s activities will also be taking place throughout the evening.
“We are passionate about the amazing flavoursome craft beers being brewed right here in the Midlands, and also love the fabulous array of different street foods that are emerging across the country” explains Mel, “so we decided to trial a new event right here in Boldmere.”
The purpose of Tipples & Tastes is to create an exciting new Friday evening meeting place where people come, hopefully with their children, certainly with friends and family across the generations, to talk, catch up, have fun – and sample some high quality, affordably priced food and amazing craft beers and sparkling wines, along with soft drinks and snacks for the kids.
“While the event on 30th June is a trial, we very much hope that people will like the atmosphere and buzz, and relish the prospect of us returning with a whole host of different food and drink styles throughout the summer months,” continues Mel. “That’s the beauty of this type of pop up dining – we can change the cuisine on a weekly basis, giving people the chance to try something completely new each week – or vote back their favourites.”
The event is free to attend, and will be held at Sutton Car Wash, B73 5UY, just off Boldmere High Street next to The Carpenters Arms (opposite Sainsburys) from 7.00pm to 10.30pm. To encourage people to bring their friends and families, some craft activities and various games will be available for children, run by a local teenager raising funds for World Challenge China.
