Local dining venue will donate proceeds to childrens charity.
The White Horse pub and restaurant in Balsall Common is continuing its support of the Lily Mae Foundation by adding a specially created pizza to its recently launched Summer menu.
The contemporary dining venue on the Kenilworth Road raised £1,000 in its first year of fundraising for the charity, donating 50p from every sale of the ‘original’ White Horse Lasagne, one of the pub’s most popular mains.
For the next 12 months, The Lily Mae Chicken and Chorizo Pizza – with toppings chosen by Amy and Ryan Jackson, founders of the Balsall Common-based organisation – will feature on the menu, with £1 from every sale going to the charity which supports parents and families that have been affected by the loss of a baby due to stillbirth or eonatal death.
Luke Hawkins, General Manager of the White Horse said: “We wanted to continue to raise funds for this worthy cause and asked for Amy and Ryan’s input into the dish. Our pizzas are 2-4-1 Monday-Saturday between 12pm-6pm. Tasty toppings and a tempting discount are sure to make this one a bestseller, raising crucial monies for the charity.”
Amy Jackson added: “We are delighted to have an on-going association with the White Horse and have already enjoyed a pizza or two! We’re pleased to see the lasagne remains on the menu as well as we’re huge fans of that too!”
The Lily Mae Foundation was set up in 2010 to help and support parents and families that have been affected by the death of a baby. The Lily Mae Foundation also supports research to reduce the current high levels of baby loss and works to help change public perception of Stillbirth and Neonatal Death.
The Lily Mae Foundation’s The Biggest Wedding Party 2017 is being held on Saturday 24th June. For tickets and more details visit here
