Award-winning cafe to mark renovation work.
Six Eight Kafé, Birmingham’s leading artisan coffee shop, has been surrounding by scaffolding the last six months and celebrating the removal with a re-launch party and by hosting the Birmingham Craft Beer Festival.
“We had a tough time the last few months with scaffolding surrounding our Temple Row shop,” said owner Devinder Dhallu, “and we wanted to thank our loyal customers with a re-launch party which will also be the first day of the“Birmingham Craft Beer Festival which we are hosting.
“We starting experimenting with artisan craft beer and got an excellent response from customers. Later on we found that there weren’t enough outlets selling craft beer in Birmingham city centre and so we decided to add craft beer to our product line. Local breweries started approaching us, saying that they wanted to work with us. We really wanted to kick-start this new product line by having a re-launch party and hold the festival”
The Birmingham Craft Beer Festival runs from the 10th-12th of November at the Temple Row branch and will be showcasing beers from local artisan breweries. Live music will be held throughout the festival with favourites from the Digbeth Dining Club serving street food to hungry festival goers.
Six Eight Kafé has come to national prominence as their baristas have won the Northern Ireland Barista Championships (2012), Best Newcomer in the UK (2014) and reached the semi-finals of the United Kingdom Barista Championships in 2012 and 2014.
