Last chance to see an iconic Birmingham landmark.
Visitors to Cadbury World’s final Heritage Weekend of the year on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th November are invited to take part in a guided walk, discovering where the Cadbury dream began.
Weather permitting, visitors will be able to head into the historic Bournville village on one of three special guided walks per day. The walks will showcase places of interest within the village, giving visitors the opportunity to find out more about the rich history of the area. During the scenic walk, those taking part will be told the story of the famous Cadbury brothers’ vision and revolutionary journey to build not only a new factory, but a community area too.
In addition to Cadbury World’s Heritage activities, visitors can explore the attraction itself where there is sure to be something to suit everyone. History lovers can learn even more in The Bournville Experience zone and step back in time onto Bull Street, where you’ll find a full scale replica of the first shop which opened in 1824.
Diane Mitchell, marketing manager at Cadbury World, said: “Heritage Weekends give our visitors a unique opportunity to explore the rich history of Cadbury chocolate, showcasing the amazing hidden gem that is Bournville. Whether it’s regional visitors looking to find out more about the local heritage, or visitors from further afield wanting to know more about the Cadbury story, we hope it will be just as enjoyable as sampling some of the chocolate itself!”
Cadbury World also offers a number of seasonal activities throughout the year, with the popular Christmas Celebration Weekends returning to the attraction later this month.
