Dual platform service for train users.
London Midland has today launched a new, super-fast and free national rail planning app for both IOS and Android platforms.
Customers who download the app will benefit from having their very own highly intelligent, and easy-to-use, personal travel assistant in their pocket. In just a few seconds it allows you to plan journeys and check live train-running information.
Richard Brooks, London Midland’s commercial director said ” Our brand new app is both intelligent and user friendly. And, for the first time we time we are able to cater for the ever-increasing number of Android users that want information at their fingertips”.
The simplistic design of the app makes it even easier to:
check train times for services across the whole of the UK;
access live information and at times of disruption, quickly check alternative routes;
buy tickets and pay for car parking on the go; and
keep up-to-date with the award-winning @LondonMidland Twitter feed without leaving the app.
Independent research conducted by the rail consumer watchdog Passenger Focus, found that apps such as these were exactly what customers wanted. Chief Executive Anthony Smith said, “These apps should be free and provide passengers with the latest travel information, allowing them to make informed choices”.
The versatile design of the new app allows customers to truly make it their own, from nicknaming stations and adding icons to saving the journeys that matter to them most. Both apps are available to download now from the App Store and Google Play.
