New Year New Skills

Go to the shops and change your life.

Birmingham Metropolitan College is urging people to get the new year off to a great start by shopping around for new qualifications – with a range of exciting new courses being promoted at key shopping centres around the region early in January.

The courses are available for all age groups including fast tracking to fabulous through fashion, growing gardening knowledge by learning how to build bird and bat boxes, getting to grips with guitar skills, taking off with aviation and cabin crew skills or learning a language with Spanish and French for beginners.  There’s also a range of construction, gas, media, digital, pharmaceutical, dental, catering and health and social care courses on offer.

Mukesh Kumar, Executive Director for Curriculum, said:  “Doors open for enrolment at all our campuses on 7th January. The new year is an exciting time for most people, many of whom are making resolutions to improve their health and fitness as well as changing their habits for the better.  Getting a new qualification under your belt is a great way to kick start the year in January and, this year, we’ve got a range of exciting new courses on offer across Birmingham, the Black Country and Kidderminster, to tempt people into to learn new skills or build on their existing ones.”
