The funerals of Shazad Ali, Haroon Jahan and Abdul Musavir will take place on Thursday 18 August.

Before the private burials, there will be an open air prayer event from around 3pm at Summerfield Park in Dudley Road, Winson Green, which will be open to the local community and media.

There will be a platform erected in the park with designated areas for attendees in front of the platform. The prayer and speech service is expected to take around 30 minutes.

There will be a visible presence of police officers at the event, but not high numbers as this is a peaceful event which is being supported by the police.

The public event will be followed by a private, family and close friends only, burial service in Handsworth.
